Opinions on Interior Trim

The piano black gloss trim is ok, definitely much better than wood, but I'm not totally crazy about it and was thinking about replacing it with either aluminum or carbon fiber. I'm leaning toward aluminum, just because it really contrasts well with black interior, while cf blends in. I used to have an aluminum trim on my E46 M3 and it looked great, however it was prone to scratching. Opinions please! Should I go for alu, cf or just stick with piano?

Carbon Fiber FTW! Get with Winston on here and he can hook you up with a carbon fiber kit for a very reasonable price! Check the group buy threads!

I went with carbon fiber and picked it up from a member here on AZ (asusc) sick pricing and quality is immaculate. Do a search under my sn and you will see my thread and pics of trim...its sick!!!! well worth the money.

Thanks to all for feedback. I will check out pricing for cf and aluminum, but I don't really want to get rid of the stock piano trim, rather keep it until I decide to sell the car in the future.

I would like to replace it, but not get rid of it, meaning I would like to hold on to it for the future. I'd like to keep my car mostly stock as I'm not much into modding now. Been there, done that and as much fun as it was, in the end it's money out the window. My M3 had wheels, suspension, among other things.

I have fish-scaled aluminum, and i LOVE it. It goes the best against the black interior IMO. (looks nice against the s4 mirrors too)

On the count of 3, everyone start yelling about how the piano black finish is ugly as fuck and that ibiski should trade his trim away for the aluminum fishscale. Then myself and ibiski will engage in a mutual trade agreement, and much happiness will be felt by all, especially me.

thats an anniversary s4 so it came with the carbon fiber. my dad had one they're way sick

My car only came with one trim level since it's the Anniversary Edition. But it's the same trim from the A4 and RS4 B7s.
