Am looking at some 18x8 BBS RGRs, ET35. These aren't listed on Tirerack for our cars, but I know some people run them in 19(x 8.5?) on here.. Could anyone confirm that these will clear our brakes? How much spacer can I run on ET35 and not rub anywhere with 235/40 rubber?
Thanks!

Yes, I have searched. Found stuff like this: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86182&highlight=RGR
but nothing really definitive yet...

Bump guys.. really want these but can't pull the trigger on that much money until I know!
i can tell you this. i got the rgr's in 19x8.5 et 32 and i don't list them for the A4 on tirerack, but it's there for the S4s. if anything a 3mm(5 at the most) should possibly make them work if they don't happen to clear.
i have the rims in which you speak. you need no spacer in rear, and at least a 4mm or higher in the front. If you grind down the calipers at the points on the top and bottom just a smidgeon, you can run 3mm (this is what I did)

is it safe not to put a spacer in the rear, but you have spacers in the front. i've been unsure about this answer.

who said it was unsafe to put a spacer in the rear? i have them in the rear for looks, but my remark clearly says you NEED NO SPACER in the rear and it related to clearance issues, which is what the original question was

no i totally understand. i was saying, what if i do not put a spacer in the rear for the bbs lm reps, and what if i put a spacer ONLY in the front. do you think i would be able to feel it

fitment wise there is no problem. I'm not sure what you mean by "feel" it. it would be the same feeling you'd get by putting spacers on any car, whether they are hubcentric, whether they have a lip, whether you have hubcentric rings, if the wheels are balanced, etc. but you can put any spacer combo on you want, just make sure if you do it in front you do both sides, and vice versa (but that's common sense)

Ohh.. hot! Thanks for the help guys! So no rubbing issues with these even with 5 mm spacers?
AAAA- are you running spacers in the rear also? Any chance we can see some pics?!
yes, i am running 8's in rears and its just about perfect. i'll try and take some pics. you could put them out a few more mm depending on the stiffness you run on your coils. i don't like them too stiff, so I can't have them stick out too far

Sounds great, thanks for the help! Pics would be cool if you've got em, if not, no worries!
So I should be safe with 4mm spacer front and 8mm rear? I mostly would like pics to see how flush they sit at that point (and how they look on the car!)
