I have an 08 A4 S-line package with the stock sport suspension that lowers the car about an 1.5" from the normal suspension, from what Ive been told. I have already ordered 19" VMR RS4 reps and 235/35/19 tires that should arrive in a few weeks.
Will I need to lower my car further to fill out the wheel wells? I seem to have a ton of room right now on the stock 17" wheels. Will the 19s on the sport suspension fill them out? Am I ordering the right tire size?
Sorry for all the questions, but could anyone post pics of 19" RS4 reps on the stock sport suspension?

The 19s will be 1/2" taller than your 17s. So you can use a measuring tape to gauge where the tires will be. I think the sport suspension is a tad less than an inch lower than base, not 1 1/2" (but I could be wrong).

So no one has images of their B7 with stock sport suspension with 19" RS4 reps? I thought that woudl be a rather common combo.

Before (on OEM sport suspension):

After (on Stasis SS coilovers):

I dropped the front another 0.5" for a more level look.

looks better with a drop...with stock setup, too much wheel gap

Nice...
Just wondering are you using spacer or is the rim? Looks good!

If I went with 18's instead of 19s, would the gap be less noticable with the slightly thicker walled tire? I see plenty of 18" RS4 reps that look pretty good, but Im not sure if they were lowered as well.

I'd like to know this too. Can you not just run a 235/45 tire instead of a 235/40?

You would run a 235/40/19 instead of 235/35/19 to fudge the gap.

But on an 18 inch rim could this also go to 235/45/18 to "fudge the gap"?

You could but then the tire+rep combo wouldn't look too hot... the fatty tires will make the rims look smaller as well

Thanks [up]
No spacer, it's just the rims offset

The problem is 235/40/19 is an odd sized tire and there are only 4 of them on tire rack in the performance catagories, and those 4 are about $100/tire than a 235/35.
Might as well just spend the extra $400 and get used coil covers

That is 235/45/19.
You could always go 245/35/19
