View Full Version : B6 Cosmetic Questions

1. Front Caractere bumper + painted lowers

2. Painted lowers

3. Sportec + door blades + painted lowers (door blades used to hide the the non-side skirt look)

I know these are weird stupid options but I'm kind of trying to do this w/o spending a lot of money. I know painted lowers will be my cheapest choice but I really want a new front.
Not sure if I like Caracter front, haven't seen it in person.
If I go Sportec then w/ blades (I have to have blades because I think having JUST the front valence offsets the look and I don't want to spend $500 on stupid side skirts) then I'll spend more than I want. I probably won't end of doing anything because I'm so indecisive.

I say do full oettinger and then a set of 19" HRE's followed by a KO4.

uh.. did you not read the part about "not spending a lot of money"? the HREs alone are like 6 grand, then the kit, which is oettinger so thats atleast 3, then a k04 kit with the necessary mods to get it to work to its full potential is atleast another 2.. lol.

Anything but Sportec, paint lowers and door blades... cause thats what I'm hopefully doing sometime soon.[:p]

Yah, I'm probably not going the Sportec route. But I'm still on the fence about Caractere. Not sure if I like it or not.

Why did you decide against Sportec? I love it, but the less the better for me. [;)]

Caractere is sick, but I don't know if it will work with stock sides. I believe the front hangs lower than Sportec.

Caractere does line up w/ OE sides. Caractere is the shortest of the aftermarket bumpers. Check it

Sportec is dope, but I question the material. If you do one thing wrong, you're f-ed and you'll have to take it into the shop.
