Sorry guys but I needed to vent on the anger I have with the current luck of my car. I got my A4 SE 2 months ago brand new in Brilliant Black. I should have known it wasnt good luck when on the first day home I already had small dings on the hood from what looks like rocks on the highway.
The problem is that it didn't stop there, I had my car parked blocking the driveway because there was no space to park on the street about 3 weeks ago (something I usually do) and when my dad was pulling out with his Sequoia he had a slight case of forgetfulness and backed into my car with the towing rig and doesnt even notice. Then he moves my car and leaves, when I look at my car when I am leaving my house i thought someone was trying to break into my car, until my dad calls and says theres black paint on the back of his sequoia...Wonderful
Last week I was out to a restaurant with my girlfriend and a bunch of our friends and I had my car parked on the street. The next morning I look at the front of my car and apparently when the person in front of me was pulling out he backed into my car, and pretty hard, hard enough to bend the license plate, crack the chrome trim around the grille and bend a small part of the bumper in.
Yesterday, I was driving on the highway and it was raining and the guy in front of me loses something from under his car and it flys up and hits my hood. I almost lose control and the guy takes off. So when I got home it was still raining so I didnt bother looking. Today I look at it and not only are there scratches but there is a small dent in the hood.
Again I had this car for only 2 months....Sorry for my rant on my problems but I have had a really hard time and tried not to let this bother me but obviously the problems keep compounding. I am gonna try to take the car into the body shop tomorrow to get an estimate for ALL the damage, meanwhile here is the picture of when my dad hit me, will post others when I take them...[=(]
Thanks for listening and I'm gonna go hide in the corner now...

wow that blows man. yeah, good luck with your repairs.
I feel you... less than a week into getting my car, my quarter paneled got dented. Luckily for me, the repair cost was covered by the person.

Sorry to hear about this. Get the damage fixed and try to be more careful where you park in the future since other people don't love our car's as much as we do. There is not much you can do about the road debris, it happend to me a few weeks ago but luckily it caused no damage. Good luck.

NYC is the crappiest place to own a new car! ive gotten my share of nicks and dings from ppl opening their doors onto my car, hit and run scratches and minor dents (all of which i paid from my own $$ to repair). At this point, when i get another scratch or something i'm just going to leave it like that, cuz its going to happen again sooner or later =T

Sorry to hear about that. I know how tough it can be to see damage on your car. I got tapped in the rear bumper at a light a few months ago. Geico didn't want to replace the bumper so it was filled and repainted. The paint job was awful so I had the shop fix it. When I got it back I noticed a small imperfection in the paint and my left rear tail light had moisture in it. The orange peel I saw before was not as bad but not back to the original paint job. This after 2 years of parking at the end of lots to avoid dings and scratches. Unfortunately, regardless of the accident the car will never be the same. And its almost impossible to avoid these things living near metro areas.

Sometimes when it rains it pours! Luckily nothing like that has happened to my audi yet but when i had my previous car (Infiniti I35) within the first two months: my then future mother in law backs into my front bumper with a MDX, someone hits my car at work in the parking lot and doesn't leave a note, i get rear ended at a stop light from an unattentive driver, and best of all sitting at a stop light a motorcycle hit a telephone pole flipped and the bike slid into my car punctured a tire and scratches up my rim. take that!

Damn siorange...Thats bad. I guess mine isn't so bad. I was trying to get to the body shop today but that doesn't seem like its gonna happen. I want my car to be clean and fixed already, I hate imperfections on a perfect car.

I wish I was the guy that did your body work. Sounds like you would keep me real busy.
Sorry to hear about all the bad crap that happened!

that's why i never drive into NYC. I take public transport and leave the car at home whenever i need to go to the city. People are careless and stupid. They wont give a shit's worth if they back into another car while parking causing damage. this is also the reason i am looking to develop a system that enables 3-inch spikes to emerge from the bumpers when parked. So, if anyone backs into my car, they will be damaged at their own expense.

b7's have got bad lucks man...
like mine~
got it only for 2 weeks...
and there was this huge ass accident(it was huge to me)
...a small pickup rammed into a nissan sedan right on my driver's side
when the light just turned green..and it happened like the second right
after my car moved...
and the friggin' STEEL bumper on that small pickup... flew the heck
under my chassis... scrapped a spot of paint off... cracked my sideskirt...
or whatever it's called...
the whole engine bay of the nissan sedan was vanished...
and im glad it was only the STEEL bumper that flew out...
not the whole damn car... although it happened like only a meter away from me...
i was like W T F..kinda screamed LOL

something similar happened with my is300, it's been hit 5 times now while parked (all hit and run). i've been in two accidents where i've been completely stopped, and someone's rear ended me. car's been broken into twice.
the car's cursed. sell it, burn it, drown it, whatever... just get rid of it, pronto.

I feel your pain - I actually had a 'regular' B6 A4 sport before my USP. I had it for about 4 months. I had so many random things happen to it that I almost didn't care how upside down I was gonna be I just wanted to get rid of it. I looked at other brands but most called my dealership for the value of it since it was so new. The dealership ended up getting me into another car relatively pain free! And it was an upgrade. I guess they figured I was serious about getting rid of it and wanted to make sure I stayed with Audi.

Damn, I feel for you man!
I narrowly avoided highway shrapnel pretty recently, which resulted from a brain-dead Subaru driver that obviously forgot to secure the TWO bikes he had on his roof-rack. I was on a 4-lane highway, with the Subaru to in the right-hand lane and myself about 20-30 yards behind it one lane over to the left (2nd from the right).
I have no idea what possessed me to do this, but for no particular reason, I changed one lane over to the left. JUST as I did that, one of the bikes goes flying off the roof-rack of this Subaru, taking the other with it. Bike pieces made of both plastic and metal exploded in all directions, and they fell literally RIGHT where I would've been had I not changed lanes merely seconds before. There was a Ford pick-up that was first to hit the bikes; he got over the first one, but the second one got stuck in his undercarriage. Traffic screeched to a halt behind me, and the last thing I saw was the Subaru driver pulling over as I cruised away, thankfully unharmed (my girlfriend was with me and it scared the shit outta her!).
Just goes to show you that anything can happen out there on the roads; sometimes you get lucky, others it feels quite the opposite. All you can do is just move on, and hope for better times. Again, sorry for the woes man; maybe it's just the crap that was gonna happen over months/years occuring all at once, and you won't have a problem/issue again!
