I wouldnt even put those on a civic let alone a beautiful car such as an Audi.
Whats wrong with your seats, I find the seats to be comfortable and "hug" the driver enough on turns and such. Those are just ugly and would rice the shit out of your car.
I vote intercooler as well

I would love S4 seats. Wonder if they sell them?

I think the biggest problem with racing seats is that the airbag light will go off on the dash. Although I think you can bypass that with resistors or something.

Our seats are comfy, but if you find the snug you should probably hit the exercise bike a little bit more than usual. They are comfy in a slipping, sliding sloshing around kinda way.
That being said, get the intercooler, worry about going faster, then worry about being able to stay behind the wheel :)

This has nothing to do with the post, but your sig ^^ .... It's a Forge DV. Not Forged. Forged is how you make something. As in a forged wheel. The DV is made by the company Forge!!! Grrrrr :-)

would it be safe without the side airbags though? the seats cover up the side of your body but is it as good as effective as airbags?

I run Corbeau FX1 Pros when out at the Salt Flats and I also swap them in for track events. They aren't very comfortable for daily driver use, but they are nice and snug with plenty of lateral hold.
I can swap out both seats in about an hour.

Your doing your A4 a disservice if you fit anything less than Recaro's. The base of the RS4 seats can be had for 1700 a piece plus sliders.

The only thing I'd be worried about with the airbag light is weather or not it would throw a cel and fail a state inspection test. Otherwise I would just pull the bulb.

Racing seats are a huge weight saver, hug you much more, and can be more comfy, but I don't want to lose my heated seats or airbags.

lol I say stuff like that to my friends during the winter all the time...
Me: "I don't care if you get into an accident or something since you're driving like this, but if I get thrown through the windshield and have to lay in the snow during this fucking 2 degree weather while I'm in shock I'm going to kick your ass"

OK, bunnn and jstahmann, what do you do about occupancy sensors and airbag connections? Do you just ignore the light on the dash? That would drive me nuts.
I was looking at a parts list, and the occupancy sensor is available separately, but not sure if it could be fitted to an aftermarket seat?
These guys make decent copies of Recaros: http://www.arizenracingsports.com/images/Audi-A4-2.jpg Picture is of a B5. I read a thread from another forum from the owner who was pretty happy with them for actual track use.
Finally, A company called Wedge Engineering makes brackets to fit almost any seats into any car. HTH.

canadian cars does that have that occupancy sensor...but my airbag light is on..i've attempted the airbag light but gave up...the price to buy all the parts to replicate the harness/plugs simply was not worth it to me...
if anything i rather strip my seat(someone did this already) and put the original connectors to turn off the light
btw guys, if you want to buy a bracket maybe Wedge Engineering is a better option, mine came from speedware and i had a HUGE nightmare for months..

care to elaborate? also why not just pull the bulb from the airbag light, or is this not possible?

I basically just ignore the airbag light. As I mentioned above, I don't run those seats all the time.
There are people who have used a resistor inline to fool the airbag system into thinking that there is an airbag connected = no light.
The adapters I use for my Corbeau seats are from Wedge. You'd have to get adapters for pretty much any aftermarket seat in the Audi (Corbeau, Sparco, Recaro, Status, etc.).
bunnn

does your adapter actuallly work?
and no pulling out the bulb doesnt mean ur airbag is back to working ^_^;
in regards to speedware, it was probably a care less mistake but here's the story
I bought basically everything from them; i receive them...but they sent me 2 passenger side brackets...after back and forth exchange ...and a few months of wait i finally get the proper 1..but this time it didnt have the seatbelt bracket ......so i had to break the old 1 and weld it on to the new bracket.... that's the jest of it

The Wedge adapters work great. They took something like 7 weeks between the time I ordered them and when I finally received them.
Like I said on the airbag light, I don't care that it's on when I run the hard shell seats. I don't even mess with it.

oh ..i don't care that it's on too ..it's been on for almost a year now....
when you said adapter i thought you meant an adapter to turn off the lights

i like racing seats and all, but i see the audi and sport LUXURY. I would prefer finding some RS4 or S4 seats so they look more OEM. what do you think someone could find those for?
