To those of you who have custom exhaust what did you pay and what are your specs. I am looking at 2.5" piping from the cat back. Any ballpark figures? Thanks fellas.

i bought a used milltek catback $400,testpipe $100,la bree motorsport quadtip muffler $159 x2,and 2.5" resonator delete pipe $70....not so custom but just got bored of the milltek lol
p.s : imo spending about $500-$600 for a full custom catback would be reasonable....GL

Sounds great. I was hoping it would be around 5-600. I am going to get a quote on a custom exhaust like next week so I wanted to get a little info before I show up. Don't want to get ripped off lol. Thanks.

I paid 1200 for everything, fully custom, 8hrs of work went into the build
3inch Custom downpipe (they dont make downpipes for tiptronic)
Magnaflow high flow cat 3inch flex, to Y-PIPE , then 2.25 dual piping (no resonators) to 2 magnaflow mufflers, and 4inch chrome tips...the piping is stainless coated with a black plastic feel to prevent any type of corroding, chips and what not... Im extremely happy with the exhuast and it performs great..

this is what i would think it would cost my friends dad owns an exhaust shop and depending on whether they have a jig (which they probably don't) he said anwhere from 1000 to 1800 depending on piping size etc.

1000 to 1800, damn I would just buy the awe exhaust for that. I was hoping that going custom would save me a few bucks. Unfortunately the shop I contacted was supposed to get back to me with a price but they still haven't called me back.

well it all depends on the shop those prices were without a jig and for 3" stainless piping w/downpipe from the turbo back
but go to your local shop and just ask for an estimate you might be suprised by the price i mean it doesnt hurt

You can go with an awe exhuast, but remember, if ur tiptronic, ur paying 100$ less than others and not receiving a downpipe, thats the main reason I went custom plus they shop I went to does great work...the exhuast sounds wicked, performs great, and was the best way to approach an exhuast in my point of view...plus think of INSTALL, its gunna cost 200$ itleast most shops will charge..Awe wanted like 257 to install or soemthing..research, listen to sound clips, ask others..best way to approach, most people havent heard a magnaflow setup, but i love it and got plenty of complements..

if you want stainless always add 100$ itleast...well worth it in the long run tho...
