I just bought an '08 black on black A4 with the S-line package (sport suspension), and Im deciding on wheels. Im thinking of goigng with 19" RS4 reps or 19" R8 reps.
I know the RS4 reps are very common, but they still look good on the B7. On the other hand, Hartmann has some pics up of the R8 wheels on a B7 that look surprisingly good.
Im also considering 18", but leaning towards a more aggressive look. Let me know what you think (you can click on the pics to get to more images from Hartmann):

I was wondering the same thing when I saw someone list a set of R8 looking rims on the classifieds. Now looking at pictures of both I have to say the RS4 rims look better on our cars.

RS4 reps look awesome on our cars no matter how many of us have 'em.
however, R8 reps look crazy good as well.
IMO, RS4 reps look more on the classy side and R8 sportier.
if I had to choose between the two, I'd go with R8 reps.

After the numerous wheel pics I've seen on B7s, the RS4 reps are by far the best looking wheel IMO. That said, I just saw a pic of a B7 with R8 reps on this thread (http://audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=208925) and they would make my second choice. kooltechie described it well except that gunmetal RS4s look more agressive than the R8s, especially on a black car.

my guess is R8 reps would be a bit lighter than RS4 reps? (anyone has this info???)
I thought OP wanted an aggressive look by going with 19" compared to 18" and might have misunderstood.
as Louis said, gunmetal RS4 reps on a black car would definitely be more aggressive.

That's what I'm going with on my black titanium. [up]

18" VMR reps = 25.5 lbs
18" R8 reps = 22.2 lbs
I couldnt find the weight of the 19" versions of teh R8 wheel, but Im sure the difference is comparable. Also the guy at Alloy R Us, who sells the R8s, said they have a lifetime warranty against surface defects and cracking. You can get them shipped for about $750.
Color-wise, I think Im sticking with the more stock look of the hypersilver. I like the way teh darker finishes look with black, but I like the contrast of the silver grille lining and wheels against the black.
I think we have have a pretty good idea what the RS4 reps look like, so does anyone else have images of 19" or 18" R8 reps on a B7?

I agree. On a non-titanium s-line, silver would look better. Did you see the link on my previous post? That's the only pic of a B7 I've seen with R8 reps.

IMHO i think rs4 wheels should stay on the rs4, and r8 wheels should stay on the r8, but thats just me.

I think the RS4 reps look better. The A4 is a big, fat car, and something with more spokes looks better IMO

i get 19s, and I prefer the rs4 reps on our b7s, those wheels should stay on an r8! my .02
