I have a 2006 A4 2.0T S-line and I love this car, but I was getting bored with it as I always do after 2 yrs with a car, so I decided it was time to start modding it. After reading through some posts on here and other forums I decided to go with the APR 91 octane and 100 octane programs. I don't have an APR shop in my area (Merced, CA) so the closest I could do was in San Francisco, about an hour and a half away from me. I chose Advanced Audi/VW in SF and first let me tell you THEY ARE AWESOME GUYS!!!!! If you live in the Bay Area or central california then I highly recommend them.

This weekend I was flying to North Carolina for Mother's day, so I dropped the car off with them late on Friday evening, and since I wouldn't be returning until 11pm monday night, we worked out that they would complete the work and then lock the car outside for me to pick up. So I got a taxi to their shop late last night, and after a 5+ hr flight I was EXHAUSTED. I had an hour and a half drive ahead of me that I was dreading, but the moment I picked up my baby, I was WIDE AWAKE!!!

What better way to test out a new mod than an hour and a half drive on a wide open freeway with 55* weather. And let me tell you, this is a different car. Acceleration is much improved in all aspects of driving. 0-60 feels much faster by the seat of the pants, but what is massively improved is 2nd/3rd gear pulls from about 2k RPM. Merging onto the bay bridge there was a little trafic and I had the car in 2nd gear around 3krpm, once there was a gap I floored it and jesus christ [:D] the car pulled hard as F--k. I could not keep my foot out of the throttle the whole drive and my normally 1 1/2 hr drive ended up taking me 1hr 10 min LOL. Once I got out of the bay area and into central cali I was able to drive it at 90mph for most of the drive and there were at least three spurts up to 130. I am a chiropractor and usually try to not get arrested, but the way the car pulled from 80-100mph was just addicting. Even in 6th gear it seemed to just want to accelerate. I am going to get in trouble with this car.

I guess the thought that came to my mind the whole time driving was why wasn't this car like this from the factory. And why did I wait so long to flash the damn thing. I am going to put 100 octane in this bitch when the tank is empty, and then really see what it can do. Then I'll probably need to get the Forge DV after I rip the stock one too [wrench]

Another note, my gas mileage average over 120 miles was 25.7 according to the in dash display. Normally I average about 28.7 on the drive to SF, but then again I normally don't drive 130mph and accelerate like a bat out of hell on every freeway junction.

My practice is starting to really take off and so I have a little extra cash to F around with. So I plan on moding the crap out of the car over the summer, any suggestions as to what to do next?? I am def doing coilovers, already did tint and front filler panel. All suggestions and questions welcome.

congrats on the 'new car'.

like they always say, chip is the best bang for the buck.

my mom also went to Advanced. they did a good job on her(my old) b5 passat and got better service and completed some work other shops couldn't do.

Overall depends on when you get chipped, if there are specials, and the warranty overall depends I feel on the dealer, some dealers are more friendly then others...

My Revo stage 2 flash was erased one time I visited a dealer to update something and I had to travel back to get reflashed, which was free of charge

NIGHT AND DAY! I love the APR chip too. You should have gotten APR during the Moving Sale. I got Stock and APR 93 for 599+Tax.

Hey Paul glad to hear your keeping the car and modding it. This is Patrick, the guy that was trying to buy your car. Best of luck with the mods!

The difference between stock and chipped is huge but if you want a little more juice, put an efficient exhaust. It'll put an even bigger smile on your face.
