Got the tails tinted, those pre-cuts are never perfect I swear! lol These are from headlight armor, had to be trimmed up alot but atleast they weren't too small. This is light smoke

Will be doing a photoshoot once I get the front end done.
Really? If you think you had to trim alot off of the headlight armor tints then you have no idea how bad it was for lamin-x [:p]
Looks good btw!

are you happy with the headlight armor product? still cant decide between brands (vs. lamin-x) was it heavy duty?

I've tried both. I personally think headlight armor fitment was way better. Material is pretty much the same thick film.

lol at everyone in that headlight armor thread dissing Lamin-X saying the cutout was shit and headlight armor's are perfect.
Both are very close, and both require a little trimming. Even if you have to trim a lot, who cares? It takes 5 seconds. Also, fwiw, my Lamin-x barely needed to be trimmed at all, probably about the same as you had to do.
Looks good btw [up]

[:)] thats what I was going for on the silver, even though its a light smoke it stands out pretty well against the light colored car.

Hey, complimenting is what I usually do! It just annoys me when people post things without thinking though. Like Lamin-X is crap and headlight armor is 100% perfect? Give me a break [:o] we should be smarter than that.
But while I'm on my complimenting streak, might I add that you're looking quite swell today, Joon? Top of the evening to ya chap, I raise my hat and pint of Guinness to you, sir [race]

Is it possible to put a car through a car wash with Lamin-x on the taillights?
SilverB7FL
05-17-2008, 08:09 AM
I wouldn't see why not, when they dry they are really on there. I only wash my car by hand though so I don't have personal experience w/ going through the car wash

I wash my car with a pressure washer when I'm in a rush ($2 DIY car wash) and they're fine if they're dry. Just don't scrub them really hard or do something stupid that would lift up an edge to make it start to peel. Car washes are fine because they don't get that close, and all I do with the pressure washer is stand a good 5 feet back and it's just like squirting it with a hose.
