Now I just have to order all the fittings and lines.

How is this contained going to be cleaned? Looks like it will need to be removed.

you should get a flange welded on at the bottom so you can run a hose with a valve on it and run it downwards. When you want to drain it into a bucket, just open up the valve.

at this time I just have it setup so that I just take it out which isn't hard since its held in with 1 bolt. If I want to add a drain I would have to change the design, but I could just take off 1 filter and use a vacuum setup to clean out the can.

Sorry for being noob..but what exactly is a catch can, and what does it do? Is it some sort of filter?

collects oil vapours that condense from the pcv system so that that crude(water/oil mixture) doesn't get back into the crankcase and cause sludge problems.

Why 4 AN connections? What all are you connecting to it?

Looks good Mike! Does it come in carbon fiber? ......... [>_<]

When are you going to have this completed?

Are you runing the lines through the wall? Are you using -12 or -10?

Look its Italian Chrome! LOL

Actually how often should a catch can be cleaned out? And what should you clean it with?

I sent this one up with -10 fittings and the fittings are done so that the lines will run thru the firewall right to the fittings. The next one I am having made which will hold a race battery will have the lines going into the side of the catch can not the front so that they can be ran around or thru a single opening in the firewall.

Fred no it does not "yet" but I am sure you would end up having it overlayed in CF, you overlay WHORE.[;)]

Then why does 034 use a -12 on the valve cover and block breather? I think that is to big of a line to run in the spaces provided in these bays. I had a hard enough time runing my -10 setup

Not sure, but you can buy those same fitting in -10 which is what I am ordering from Summit.

You can always reduce it to whatever size you want. You're not stuck with the -12.....

Correct. Thats just the size of the adaptor 034 offers. There are adaptors with the same size thread that will have a -10 AN male on the other side.

-10 AN Male to 3/ 4 in. NPT Male

I wanted black but cant seem to find a 3/4 to -10 AN male in anything but blue, but since its for the block breather it doesn't matter to me since it cant be seen anyway.

Male -10 AN to Male 1/ 2 in. NPT

These are the adaptors I am ordering for my setup.

I already made a long list of needed parts for my catch can setup that includes all the part #'s and prices.

I like the blue on your car as it accents the color of your car.

Mike,
Where are you sourcing all your fittings from? Using SS braided lines?

From summit and yes I will be using 2 -10 braided lines.

Yeah but the AN fittings all have red on them which I dont like. I have those fittings on my fuel system which is why I will be doing all black AN fittings for my catch can.

Sits perfectly on the battery tray. It is a little wider and shorter then the stock battery.

Ok a few pics while working on doing the -10 lines and fittings.

With 034 block breather installed
http://www.centralvalleyspeed.com/photogallery/albums/userpics/10093/CIMG0785.JPG

VC breather and both -10 lines. AN fittings are just dirty from putting the lines together.
http://www.centralvalleyspeed.com/photogallery/albums/userpics/10093/CIMG0782.JPG

The next catch can I get wont have the fittings on the front so only 1 hole will be needed to run the lines thru the battery wall.

That block breather adapter is money! I can't wait until mine arrives. The valve cover looks CLEAN! I need to send mine to them and have 'em paint it and put the fitting on the back.

Looking good!
