Anyone have connections to any LA County Sheriffs, I got pulled for no front plate and then they added an illegal front tint ticket after they wanted my windows rolled up... I dont mind putting the front plate on for a little, just i dont wanna take off my tint/put it back on. Wondering if anyone on here has some connection to write it off for me.

You don't need to take your tint off and put it back on. I just payed 110 bucks and that was the end of that. No taking it off, no showing them anything, nothing.

Processing fee is goin be around $10-20.
$110..I could take it off and put it back on 2x for that price.

it is illegal in the state of california to have any sort of % tint on your 2 front windows. the cops were dicks and told me to take mine off for my fix it ticket. also made me take off my yellow headlight tint, blacked out taillight tint and my euro plate.
yup. dicks.

Make sure the tint violation is correctable! I just took my tint off and they said it's not correctable [headbang]

It is for sure, were you pulled over by Sheriff, Police or CHP?
I have 15% all around, the Sheriff said "they looked painted from my view"...

i had this same problem with my BMW, its a major pain in the ass, the cop checked the wrong box and in order for u to clear it up, you have to go to court and tell the judge that is a correctable offense and that u have already fixed it. the judge should then clear the ticket.

On the 110 Pasadena south a few weeks back I caught a CHP moto cop waiting to enter the freeway..I was on the fast lane doing 70+ on the twisty highway when i passed him...20 seconds laters Officer Panchorelo fills my rear view mirror..I got popped for not having a front license plate(have the RS4 grill)..and for also not having a plate on the rear..ooh crime of the century...i run with Penske Audi "new car"placard in place of license plate thats been there since i got the A4..after paying $359 bones a few years back from an eye in the sky camera .i said fyuck that..never again..Chippy told me too have my tinted front window rolled down when i go get my ticket signed off also...
Question: Does CHP require that the front plate be bolted/screwed on? Or has anyone tried another method for securing the plate to the grill that will pass their inspection? Ahh velcro stips maybe...

95% isnt "tinted", and CA tint law for the fronts is 70%...basically nothing. Most cops dont care if its above 35% anyway.

Got popped for front tint and modified/illegal exhaust, and Im in the process of removing the tint but want it retinted along w/ the rears.
Anyone got a good place and a rough idea on cost to re-tint?

Double-sided tape will work fine. Makes it easy to remove [;)]

So you're cool with having to pay for a test everytime a different cop notices the exhaust mod? Hopefully you could just show the cert from the last inspection during the traffic stop.

I had them take off all my old tint due to it being purple from the previous owner, and had them put it on all 5 windows again for $180 w/lifetime warranty [up].
VZWalex, when I give you my ticket, do I gota show your friend my car or will he not care about it and just sign it off/take if off the books.
