What around about price should I be looking at for repairing my vaccum leak at a shop?

That'll be a 'per hour' job. It could take less than 30 minutes, but it could take several hours. Depends on how long it takes them to find the leak.

there's a lot of vaccum lines. i lucked out with my mechanic because fixed a few for free when i had a problem and told me to do the rest on a rainy day. u can change them yourself easily.

Ok then enlighten me by telling me how to change them, or how to find the bad one or ones. I'm guessing by putting water on the line to see if it bubbles up?

no vaccum lines Suck air..so they won't bubble. I use a tourch set with the acetline gas (flamable) and when I hit a line that has a leak the idle goes up and thats how I know which one to fix
