Does anyone know the easiest way to replace the front door speakers? Also, what is the max size that will fit in there? Thanks

AFAIK, there's only one way to replace them. I'm sure there's a tech article on here or AW that describes it. The factory front speakers are only 4", but some have gotten away with 5 1/4s and some w/ even 6", but that takes adapters and quite possibly alot of work. It all depends on what you want...

no matter what 4 inch speaker i buy, the factory cover will still be able to cover it right?

If you want adapters, you can get them here: http://caraudiosecurity.com/catalog/product_info.php+manufacturers_id+9+products_id+18 83

It's in the UK, but they ship to USA. That 12.98 (pounds) comes out to like $40 bucks after all the charges (shipping, exchange rate, extra fees.. etc). I know because i got some, a perfect fit on the stock doors to accomodate my 5 1/4 speakers.

*BTW if you look on the bottom of that url, you can also get the rear adapters.

unless you want to cut up your door panel, you'll need to buy or make custom kick panels to fit those 6's. or they must be tiny 6's

I will have a couple front stock speakers to sell as soon as I get my Infinity's from Rieger_rs4.

I built rear adapters for both doors in about 15 minutes and small few pieces of tin. Was horribly simple.

i put in 5.25 mbquarst and 1in tweeters..i dremeled the tweeter housings to fit into the OEM spot, and I ghetto modded the 5.25's to fit in the 4in space...i lined up 2 screws on my 5.25's to fit behind the oem speaker opening, so insdie it stll looks oem.

You have to remove the door panel to get to the speakers.

Factory bose speakers are actually and off size. They are 5" but the only speaker you can get in without ANY mods to the card are 4". 5 1/4 go in easy with a little work. I'll be installing my PCE210 in a day or so
