im in the midst of replaceing my right rear wheel bearing, and i have the hub assbley and housing ready to come off only problem being... the ABS sensor wont come out. There is nothing that is visible holding it in, it is not the one with the nut holding it down. i heard it was a push it but this thing wont budge. ive tugged a bit and even though its a magnetic pick up sensor and i know unless i break the magnet it wont affect it that much but im still scared to jsut go ahead and start rippin on it seeing as its an expensive part. is there something holding it in? or a trick? please help! Just tore one up the other night... $198 at the dealer. I got one for $160 locally. I'd recommend tracing the wire to see if you can disconnect it at the other end. I pressed the bearing in myself so I can say that you shouldn't have a problem leaving the sensor in place if you can disconnect at the other end. I'm installing my new sensor tonight. Mine was driver's side, btw. I think the bearing was getting hot enough to fuse the plastic in there. P.O. had been driving it for a while with the bad bearing. GL

Update. Now I know.... pull up on the rear seat bottom cushion. The connector is black. It threads back down to the outside very easily and right back up. I replaced mine in a total of 30 minutes which included gently tapping the new sensor back into the spindle. If I had to do it again, I'd save $160 and add about 15 minutes to the whole wheel bearing job.
