whats the catch can for? ( i imagine oil?)
but why do you need so many ports on it?

because of all the boost he runs with a low compression bottom end. There is a bit more blow by.

To release crank case pressure. I will run 2 lines for now, plug the other 2 and then later on I will have someone punch 2 more spots in my block.

Looks good Mike. What collects in your catchcan? Mine I usually get this watery/oily/foamy gook that smells like a$$ and looks rancid. My can was filling up very quickly as well. Ideas? Is this normal for a loose-built engine?

Yeah I used to get that too, just have to make sure you drain it often.

Yea...it really sucks. Now that Im finally pushing high boost (30 PSI) I have a feeling its only going to get worse. Time for a bigger can I guess. [headbang]

That should be this summer. Right now I am just working on getting my car back together to how it used to be and installing the new kevlar parts.

sweet mike, I can't wait to see the new setup... I wonder how much power the 1.8t block can handle...

Did you decide on a paint scheme yet?

dude, me, you (crazyass), bassed and poopie, all running at waterfest would be awesome. As long as I get my car up and running in the next couple weeks and i know it's perfect, I'll sign up for drag.
and maybe by then i'll have a few more goodies... (cams, new exhaust mani, intake mani)

It would be nice if we could try to get as many BT/BAT A4's to the event for a big showing in the drag event.

I hope my car will be done (as in fully tuned) by then. I'll have to bug Mark about tuning the car so I can bring it.

Threw the hood on last night to see how it fits and how it looks on the car. I need to get it all lined up so I can drill out the holes for the hood pins before I send all the kevlar parts out to my friend to get sprayed. Need to replace the driverside hood hinge since it is bent causing the hood to stick up just above it.

wouldn't it be a lot more beneficial if you cut off the old smaller pipe from the endtank, bored out a 2.75" hole in it, and made the entire cold side the same diameter?

Cant bore out a 2.75" outlet because the end of the tank is less then 2.5". To increase that outlet it would have to be a oval hole with a pipe that is then oval on one end and round on the other. Fred might just oval out a 2.75" pipe to do this next time he has the car. I only had him do the 2.75" cold side pipe because he already had my car to make the Race Series FMIC kit and I also had him make a hot side pipe for the ER B5 Competition FMIC kit when used with a top mount turbo setup like the full-race.

Here you can see the 2.5" inlet and the end tank.

The new piping looks so much better..... Look @ that str8 section compared to all the bends before.

Well that setup was 2 pipes ago from back when I was using a stock intake manifold and normal ndbw throttle body. [>_<]

is it just me? where is your throttle body? or do you have a radically different one?

I run a VR6 throttle body. The cable goes under the manifold to the tb.
