I was up there march 27. It was getting icy in the morning/slushy in the afternoon. Just expect spring skiing if you go up. I was in the back country at Alpine and it was tough boarding but still fun. I just ended up in the park and groomed in the afternoon...hope it helps.

I went to Sierra the past weekend, pretty much the same condition as mentioned above plus it was kinda windy in the afternoon.
and yes there are a lot of CHP with radars along the way especially when you are coming off the mountain.

Icy/slushee like everyone is saying. If you feel the need and dont wanna fly out to find better snow then Tahoe will have to do.
I wonder how Bear Valley would be? Its off 4 and might have better conditions than South or North Lake.

I work next door to Heavenly's Stagecoach lodge. It is really icey and snow is bare. 1 of the 2 Nv. lodges are closed and Stagecoach is closing on Sunday.
