well I decided to go out today and dyno the car to see what kinda of power its making but right now I'm still on the atp mika tuning for now until I can find another ecu to get the tapp tunning but anyway here's the results

Nice!, I am aiming a bit above that with mine, I just need to wait a few more weeks until school ends so that I can take down my car.

^^^are u FWD? cuz more then 325awhp is kinda ALOT for a 1.8t 71r

damn thats high. you on pump gaas? what psi? this the full turbo, or just an elim?

yeah what kind of boost were you seeing? Lets not forget what happened to the last person making 330 fwhp on a mika tune

if you watch the dyno video you can see all wheels are moving, so quattro it is. That is a lot of horsepower for a quattro car with just a GT2871r. You must have a very healthy car and a great tune (or a bad tune and your running lean to make more power lol) I really dont care for dyno numbers anymore. I am really big on 1/4 mile times over dyno numbers. Did the shop have any baseline runs for you to compare to?

yes the motor I believe its pretty healthy but I believe a gt2871 turbo is able to produce alot more power if running standalone or a good tune but I could be wrong though but yes I'm not a big dyno person myself I'm more into trap speed at the track

Why no RPMS on graph?

Are you hitting 200 wheel torque @ 4K Rpm?

beejohn
04-08-2008, 07:55 AM
2nd, no rpms!?

also is that corrected? do you have uncorrected #s?

dynojets are know to read high... how's your A/F with Mika and 23psi boost

k0mpresd

something about those #'s dont seem right

arif is/was running the same set up. dyno'd @ around the same settings (fuel/boost) and only made 290 @ the wheels i think it was.

That is because no one has noticed that it is using a 1.05% corrected reading, which means the power the dyno added 5% to what the car actually put down at the wheels. His true whp was 310.

You guys put way too much faith in a dyno plot. The car could be +/- 25% or more from those numbers.

It is still impressive and a nice looking curve. Although it is really hard to read without the rpms. It looks like it starts at idle and runs to around 6500 and makes 200wtq at a pretty high rpm. That turbo should be hitting it at just under 4000 rpm. That really depends on timing and other tuning.

Is it a GT2871r ELIM or a REAL T25 flanged GT2871r? Very different scenarios. Considering that a GT28RS powered car can hit ~ 300awhp, a REAL 2871r (NON ELIM) should be able to do it easily.

Never seen 1 dyno operator start at idle, so it is most likely started around 2000-3000 rpms. So each line is most likely 500 rpm with the pull starting at 3k, but without a rpm reading we will never know.

I thought the same but then his spool would be pretty terrible. That would put 200wtq at 4500 rpm which is on par with a larger turbo.

Dyno could be set with a high load or they ran the car in a very high gear, that pull does seem to be pretty long for something that might be around 3500-4k rpms.

im not going to comment on any of the, sometimes, asinine comments made by other members. but i will say this. you already blew up one motor with this current tune. so now you're trying your hardest to blow this one up too?

oh, and k0mpresd, Arif dyno'd on 93 octane i believe

it was a mix of fuel...i had to go back and check [>_<]

yeah it is little bit 110(2gals) little bit 94(5gals) and little bit of 93(5gals).

I drove all day before the dyno so when I went to dyno I was almost out of fuel.

I made 296whp corrected and 315 uncorrected on straight 93 at 23 psi on my 71r elim.

You were swimming in the ocean when you did that so you cant really compare that to anyone else.[;)]

Below sea level, which is why his uncorrected #'s were higher then corrected.

I've been waiting on this comment all day but actually the old motor timing belt tensioner failed which caused the motor to go and plus that poor lil motor was at 17x,xxx miles so it was time for the better anyway, but yes I am getting another tune and the reason I dyno'd the car is to see whats exactly going on and now I know so now its time to move on to the TAPP lol

lets just say its time for a new tune :( and the rpms I'm not sure whats the deal with that but on some of these other graphs I have it shows speed mph but not rpm???
