hello everyone, am new to the A5/S5 forum but not in Audizine.
My moms jetta got totaled, so we are in the market for a new car.
we went to our "friendly" Stealership to look at new cars audi has to offer, my mom fell in love with the a5. we drove a S-line a5 fully loaded 3.2 v6,Auto.tip/DSG quoted at $52.000(for the money I get the s5) but this is for my mom so an a5 3.2 is exelent. and to tell you the truth i fell in love with it test drove and it really impressed me, that 3.2 v6 dsg/TIP was NOT slow by any means.
we talked with the sales personel and he had another one not the s-line but with navi. and the upgrades sound system and a few other gizmos[>_<] quoted at $46.000.
my questions are, how much did you guys pay for yours and what are the monthly payments(not lease).
what are some of the cons considerign that thsi car is for my mom[;)][;)]
and what are the pros.
have any major phantom problems with the a5?
and any other suggestions are apriciated!
-Til

When I looked in to getting one I did not not look into purchasing, but the lease was around $1,000 per month (sticker of $52K). I'm sure you could do a google search for a loan calculater for some better pricing ideas. Audi does not have any special purchase or lease rates for the A5 at this time since it is a new model.

The car just came out! Supply and Demand deems you will probably not get much off of MSRP. It's too new to have any known problems. If those are issues do what I do and just wait on a car for 2 years and get it at 30-40% off the price. Or lease if you know you won't keep it. Lease rates for A5's are a little ridiculous though, I mean $800/mo. I leased my Subie in mid 07' with 3,000 down 245/mo 15,000mi/year for 2 years and MSRP is $25,000 which is half an A5, and I'm only about a fraction of the payment for again only 2 years!! lol. I'd wait if you want to buy or lease a less-in-demand car i.e. A6.

am looking in to owning one, the car just looks so amazing cant say no to that i personaly would buy an s5 since its almost a little more then s-line. but its for my mom and you pay extra $ for being a gas guzzler right?.
the dealer found one for 47.k it just doesnt have the push start button, suspention and seats.

I picked up my A5 two saturdays ago. Sticker before TT&T was $48,700, out the door was ~$51,000. The only option I didn't get was S-Line. I like the regular seats more, and the 5 spoke 18" wheels look great to me! Navi, bluetooth, MMI, sirius, B & O stereo, automatic with paddles, adaptive headlights, etc..

By the way, the stereo is absolutely sick, and the ipod interface is awesome.

Hey MaverickUF... Congrats on your new A5. Did you finance or lease? What deals did you get at this time? Photos?

I financed. She's expensive, but it's well worth it. I drive too much to lease, I've got 1,100 miles on it already, and the fact that it is a pleasure to drive will only cause me to drive more. I took some pictures, but haven't pulled them off the camera yet. Here's a lousy one from my phone. And here's a website build of my setup. I'll get some more this weekend, I just had it tinted Wednesday, so NOW it looks good...

And, for those of you that may be into racing, I was down at Sebring and the pace car was....

ah, nice to have money. I thought the economy isnt doing too well and they are still charging so much for an A5??? I guest you gotta pay a premium to play but if you got the dough....

I saved more then 10k by getting my S4 CPO, with 20k miles on it.
