I'm in Raleigh, NC. I actually used to live in G'boro. I have a 50 trim right now. What kind of software were you running w/ the 57?

Do you work w/ a guy named Evan? I had him do my TB a while back. I actually purchased the kit from a guy on here. The link's below. I had Chris Tapp do the software for me w/ 630cc injectors, Racetec FMIC and TT225 MAF.

dude.....you need another turbo kit. That manifold will crack in about 17 places..just ask Bassed. I really hate to bash your set up, but that turbo is a cheap china made turbo along with the manifold. Your fueling set up is awesome though! You can pick up a t3/t04 pretty cheap and an atp cast manifold is about $350 or use an ebay replica for half the cost. You're almost there man.

Browse the vwvortex forums and see if anyone is selling a garrett for a good price. Are you looking for something in the t3 housing family?

Yeah, I think I'm kinda limited w/ the software/fueling that I have. I'm new to the BT which is probably why I bought that piece of sh!t in the first place. Damn, im pissed.

so you already have your software already? Damn....if you find something else I'm sure chris tapp can change the tune for you. did you buy the tune from him directly?

thanks for the info. I read people w/ this setup have mixed feeling about the 57 trim w/ surging and what not, probably be best to go w/ a 50. Of course I'm not an expert by any means.

and I'm using this manifold

yeah, he tuned specifically for that setup so I'm stuck. For him to change the tune would probably be big$$$. He charged me $795 for the one I have now as it is.

just buy an atp (clone) mani like poopie posted and 50 trim garrett from a reputable seller and call it a day

Call him first. Explain the situation. Chris is really helpful and just wants you to be happy with what you paid for. I can understand if you bought his tune second hand then he wouldn't be willing to change the program for you. It will probably just cost you shipping.

Yep, probably my only option. Appreciate the info. looks like this will have to be placed on hold yet again.

50 trim is a great option for this motor. I ran it for a while and the new owner of my car still has it. Did you get the TT225 maf with the fueling? CTapp usually uses a Ford 90mm lightning maf for the 630cc inj...unless something has changed recently.

Pat, his a 2001 so he lucked out. LOL

While you're at it, consider using chris's mafless tune so you don't have to worry about making an intake.

ah, thanks and pardon the oversight on my part. and yea, mafless would be the way to go if possible.
