View Full Version : Anyone have an idea why I'm leaning?

Here's the setup.

K04 software
K04 Turbo
5 Bar FPR
New Fuel Filter
New O2 Sensors
New MAF from 98 Golf/Jetta(the supposed fix for K04 setups in 97 A4s)
Bosch Supers (came with the kit)

Looking at my manifold, the two cylinders that are last on the fuel rail are whitish and I don't like that.

My two guesses:

1. FUEL PUMP? (should be in good condition, never ran out of gas or anything)

2. Injectors. They have 150,000 miles on them but the last two cylinders on the rail are the leanest so that hints at supply to me.

Anyone have an idea why I'm leaning?

Do you have any codes thrown? If so what are they. I wonder about that MAF.

Umm, no CEL, but I can scan in and see right? Everyday I say I'm goign to buy a VAG [eek] So I guess I can't really answer your question.

You can always VAG the car. With or without a code.

vag logs would really help in a case like this. you replaced your 02 sensors right?

if not when my primary went bad i was leaning out really bad. knock sensor voltage was above 29 on 3 cylinders at WOT and my 02 sensor voltage readings were really low. these are the things you can learn with a vag. works much better than trying to diagnose your problem through the past experiences of others.

Thanks guys. Does anyone know where a KEY-COM (It's key-com i need right?) vag can be bought at a good price. I'm thinking of getting one off AWE.
