Mine read at 4.9 volts, should it be higher?

Nope, it should be around 4.3v though?

It is a 5V digital signal...

Great, thanks.

Am I wrong in thinking that the N75 reads a duty cycle? So by reading the V+ and GND pins you'll get a 5v reading, but its not actually indicative of anything other than the N75 getting power. In order to find out what the ECU is saying you'd read the V+ and SIG pins on an oscilloscope or good multimeter.

Either way you read it, you should still get roughly the same reading... When the ECU sends the signal to ground you will get a voltage drop from either the signal wire or reading from ground...
