When I ordered in early February (northern calif.) I was able to get $500 off and free audi care, although I chose a dealer who would not throw in the audi care, just because I had thought id enjoy working with him and his team more in the future. At the time of order, edmunds.com was showing pricing for the s5 for buyers in my area (based on zip code) and the price paid was showing a regional adjustment of about $580 I think...well, now, that regional adjustment is a big zero, so I think the increasing demand is going to make it harder for anyone at this point to get much of a deal. It wasnt easy before either.

I think invoice is a distant dream on a high-demand car like this one. $500 to $1000 depending on where you are is reasonable for both. I wouldnt pay MSRP though -- not on a factory order. If you're willing look around, there are deals to be made.

Invoice on a loaded s5 is about $4k less than msrp. If you can get half of that out of a dealer's paws, I'd be very surprised.

give it time...it was the same thing when the 335s were released..give it time, and you'll be able to buy one for invoice every time.

Indeed. Same for my friend's 350Z when it first released. Everyone thought the car is so hot, that no one could ever get one at invoice before production ended rofl

FYI- I have worked for Porsche Audi for 9 years..You are not going to see the word invoice and S5/S5 in the same sentence. I got $500 off and I order it. They are all orders because no one has them. You might get a few buks off a demo but do you really want an S5 that every Tom Dick and Harry has beaten for 6 mos?

Many dealers in California are going OVER msrp. We aren't doing that on the S5, and that created a 6 month wait for anybody hoping to walk in and order one. When the first cars came out, a few hundred bucks was pretty much all that any dealer would move, but now we can't keep any A5s or S5s in stock at window!
