How can you tell if I need to replace my engine mounts?

Since a month or 2 the engine is making a strange noise on acceleration or deceleration.

Look like something is knocking. Something big. I didnt bother checking because I didnt have the time to fix it, but today I decided to check it.

I found out that there's a red fluid coming from the passenger side engine mount. Are those mounts hydrolic or something?

I also found that one of my drive axle boot was wild open and found grease everywhere lol.

Also, would the snub mount make any noise if it need to be replaced.

Thanks a lot
Mat

Bad engine mounts leak a fluid that looks like raspberry jam.

You can either replace the boot, the CV under it, or the whole halfshaft with a reman from raxles.

I would recommend the whole halfshaft from raxles.

Hey, I have a bleeding passenger motor mount too. Let me know how the install goes. I have been putting it off forever.

Install was really easy.

The old mount was completely busted...

But I still got that knocking sound... The drvier side mount looked ok but it may be busted as well.

Transmission mount looked ok too.
