Note: this is not the recommended procedure from Audi. do this install at your own risk.
1. Roll down window.
2. Remove the three screws in the door panel.

3. Once you've removed the screw in the door handle, you will be able to pull down that small plastic piece. Remove the two screws under it.

4.Pull up the door panel. There is no need to remove it completely.

5.Remove the small plastic piece covering the rear of the mirror.

6.Remove the foam insulation and set it aside. You should now see the power mirror connector. Disconnect by using a flat head screwdriver.

7.Remove the large torx bolt holding the mirror in place.
8.You should now be able to pull the mirror out. Pull the top out first by pushing down on the mirror. There is a foam insulation between the mirror and the door. KEEP THIS IN ONE PIECE and set aside. You will need this later. Before pulling the mirror out completely be sure to slide the power mirror connector through the rectangular opening.

9.Install the new mirror by first placing the foam insulation behind the mirror. Work the connector through the rectangular opening in the door and connect. If there are an extra set of hands available this may be a good time to test the mirror. If not you can use some tape to hold the mirror up while you test them.
10.Work the lower lip of the mirror into the weather stripping. Slide the mirror forward so the front corner of the mirror is aligned with the door.
11.Here's the hard part. To get the top lip of the mirror in place you will need to pull the stripping over it. I used a thin small screw driver for this. I "DID " scratch the paint on the mirror however it gets covered up by the stripping. Push the top of the mirror as close as you can to the stripping. Start from the top or bottom and insert the screwdriver under the stripping and pull it over a small section of the mirror. Slowly slide the screwdriver up/down the side of the mirror(while still under the stripping). As you move the screwdriver, the stripping should be folding over the mirror so that its flush. You most likely will not get this in one try but keep at it.

12. Once the stripping is flush. Install the rest of the door in reverse.
Done Deal! Hope this helps.
