Bummer. My Alternator is shot.

Well, i decided to pick up a Voltmeter for the Benz just so i can monitor what the car is doing..

I should be seeing about 13-14 volts, but im only getting just about 10 [mad]

Ive replaced most of the battery wiring etc, so the alternator is the last piece that could have a problem..

Oh well, its a good thing its only 70 bucks for a new one[:D]

just buy the voltage regulator (if you wanna save 30 bucks) and it's a breeze to change. i'm sure your entire alternator is not shot.

That's not too bad, had to pay a lot more for the alternator on the old Saab I had. That thing was useless until changed out.

$70 for an alternator is awesome. My neighbor has a MB200 (diesel I think) that has been sitting on the street for a long time. It looks just like yours, except it's white. I should talk to him about it.

Its going to be an interesting vid, thats for sure.. I have really "raced" in a long time, let alone in a huge old car [:D]
