Like the title says, where's the best place to get a PPI in or around Burlington, VT? I'm looking at a 2000 A4 Avant to purchase. I'm 1000 miles away, so I can't just drive across town and look at it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Mike

Well, the owner has had it serviced there through warranty, of course. How is their work? Looking at the service history, they look pretty thorough.

Is there an independent Audi shop in the area to have a PPI done?

Thanks,
Mike

i brought my car the for service ONCE, ill say that again ONCE.

350 dollars later, same damn problem, plus they were complete assholes when i picked it up, they were aware that i was driving over 100 miles to come pick my car up, and i called them to say i was going to be POSSIBLY 5 minuets late because the ferry had trouble docking, they got there pantys so far in a bunch they lost out on a 50 dollar tip, and future business, and i made a point to let them know that.

What kind of car are you looking at? You need an old skool S6 Avant. Either a 95 or a 2002.

I'm looking at a 2000 Avant (1.8T). Can't help myself. We all (my wife, my daughter, and myself) miss my Avant so much. Jim, I sent you a PM...

Ok, I saw one today in the Burlington Free Press. It has an APR chip and some other mods.

I was wondering the same thing but I take my car to a guy in Colchester, VT. His name is Jeff Martin and his shop is called Quality Foreign Car Repair, he is a little pricey but worth it cause he does really thorough work, and is amazing at what he does. Number is (802) 863-0287

Pre-Purchase Inspection Sorry, I thought people would know what that was.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll give him a call today.

VTAudi, could you do me a favor and take that link down until AFTER I buy it or pass on it? I'm trying to get things together to buy it. I have to have it looked at (PPI), book a flight, and check the weather for the drive home. Sorry if that's what you thought I meant by PPI. OOPS...

I sent you a PM. Please e-mail me at my work addy. I'd greatly appreciate it!!!

Thanks,
Mike

Well, Jeff's going on vacation until the 26th, and he seems like a very good guy. Very knowledgeable! Seems like I'm going to have to wait until then to have it checked out. Thanks guys!

Yea Jeff def knows his stuff, thats his only deal though is that he goes on vaca whenever he wants but his answering machine will usually tell you when he leaves and when he gets back. If he has to get something done by a date its done by then and he expects you to be ready to pick it up when you say you are going to. Ive been going to him since my first audi for parts and service def a cool guy.

Oh and hell tell you straight up whats wrong and whether you should buy or not buy. If there is something that needs fixing he'll do it right the first time. There is no half ass with him.

Thanks! Honestly, I would say the same things about him, simply by talking to him on the phone today. Seems like a very good guy, and very helpful. In fact, he asked if I was sure I wanted to go to VT to buy an Audi, when there are many more to be had in the southern part of the country. He's definitely straight up, and willing to give you his opinion. A [up] to Jeff!

Honestly, his hourly rate isn't any more than anyone else, IMO @$65/hr. Good to know you guys have a GREAT place to take your car and can be trusted to do a good, honest job.
