nice comparison, but the engineer in me would have loved to see them switch the mounting locations around to remove any variables that might have been introduced as a result.

some of those are clearly not in idle positions, o2 sensors, wideband specifically should be at 10 or 2...

I am pretty sure they knew exactly what they were doing. The positon of the sensor does not effect its reading, but effects how long it last since the 10-2 position keeps fuel from building up during long term use.

being down stream will certianly affect response characteristics. most likely marginally. i'm not saying the results are wrong, just that I personally would be interested in what, if any, difference location makes.

People seem to forget about the DB/LC-1 Guage kit, which has all the same parts just a digital guage and is 100 beans cheaper than XD-16[:D]

Wel it is a digital reading gauge but is actually a analog signal gauge which is why it cost less and why they said that the XD-16 is the only "true" digital gauge.
