i snapped a nipple off my intake manifold, which snapped off clean with very little pressure.. very weird. anyway.. should i just replace it with stock, or get a high flow/ported manifold? i don't know if the stock one is pretty sufficient, or what type of gains to expect with a "better" intake manifold.

my plans are a t3/t4 turbo with supporting mods. I'll be keeping the power at around 300awhp, while it's my daily driver for a couple of years...

How much is a stock intake mani?

At those power levels you probably wouldn't see much, if any gain from a higher flow mani. There is actually a HUGE debate going on about the gains the 034 manifold offers.

Used, I've seen them sell for as low as $50 and usually never more than $75-80.

thanks for your input.

I would say its a no-brainer. Used stock mani ftw.

You can just drill out the hole and tap it for a brass nipple. Total cost? Like $4 and some elbow grease

Before you have it replaced port and polish the replacement =D. I believe 034 sells one like that.

my hardware store doesn't have a brass nipple that fit, if you know where i can get all i need, i'd be up for it.

thanks every for your replies.. i might just buy a replacement, and grunt, i'll probably take your advice and get it ported and polished. i looked on the 034 site, and all i found were exhaust manifolds.

Don't bother porting or polishing it unless you're also doing the head. The runner openings should be a little smaller than the gasket so that an anti-reversion step is created.
