I know you guys eat this stuff like candy so I figured somebody would be interested in these. Looks like they're in NH but one tire needs replacing

No the 17x8's are the 5x112 wheels from the a6 4.2. TT wheels are 17x7.5 and 5x100

Yeah but Ive seen a few A6's with them.

I thought all the fat fives were 5x100? Mine are. maybe I'm wrong.

I like how the seller had to thow in that he selling the A6 wheels cause he bought 19" sportecs (totally unecessary). I guess if I was rock'n sportecs I would want to tell the world as well.

They are classic looking, simple, polished and forged.

dude, stock size on the A6 fat fives is 255/40/zr17, I think that too wide for the b5. Am I wrong on this?

Yeah, the tires are too wide (and big), but the wheels are right size. (8" max, unless you start rolling or stretching fenders)

I ran 245/40-17 on my b5, but I never took note of clearance... 245/40 is actually .6% shorter overall than the stock tire size. 255/40 is .6% "taller" than a 205/55-16 and only .2% "taller" than 225/45-17

when i ran 235/45-17 on stock b6 17x7.5 et43 wheels i needed a 5mm spacer in the rear to keep it from rubbing on the upper control arm... the 255/40 is actually shorter than the 235/45. the 17x8 fat fives have an offset of 35 so even though they're ~6mm wider on each side of the wheel, the lower offset pushes the wheel about 8mm further out... so in effect the wheel itself moves no closer to the upper control arm but the outer lip is a little over a half inch further out than my b6 wheels

I know that was confusing but I'd be willing to put money on them fitting

Yeah I had to basically grind out parts of my fenders to get those Fives on the jetta. and they are only 7.5's.

Those A6 fat fives are FORGED too. I've been looking for a set for winter and/or the track.
