My RPM needle moves up and down a little bit whenever im at idle, even when engine is all warmed up. Its been going on for a while, wondering what could cause this?
Maybe if my exhaust is scraped? can this cause it? Plus maybe a loss of power i feel...

im having a similar issue .... however mine was first greeted by a check engine light that flashed and then went away when i started driving...

Just because a CEL light goes away DOES NOT mean you don't have a problem! This is probably the most common misconception about CELs. There's a code stored, get it checked out.

oh trust me i know it means i dont have a problem...i got it checked out two times already...dealerhisp said they couldnt find anything....they said maybe it was electrical but i know it isnt becuase i could feel it when it was happening...they said when the had the car for the week it never happend...and two days after they gave it back to me it happend....CEL for a bit.... then a rough idle... and i dont know about my power...the car is stock...but i feel like its been a bit sluggish lately... hard to tell ebcuase its a fucking automatic[rolleyes]

how much are the RPMs changing? Are we talking 200-300 RPM?
Just could be cooling fans kicking on, or HVAC. This is rather normal... If the car is warm and idles upto 1k+ then i would take it to the dealership. Might be an idle control valve, or a leaky vacuum line.

Even when the car is warmed up, say i start it up, it goes up the the RPM range where it would be ice cold, then drops slowly.
If im at idle, it goes up and down the slightest amount, but you can hear it (loud exhaust), so easier to hear.
My mods are listed as below, maybe its a fueling issue, il see if i can bring it to service to get it checked out...

i wouldnt think its a fuel pressure issue...
the fuel pump in your tank feeds a high pressure pump, and the input pressure can vary between 300-600kPa. Meaning the high pressure pump doesnt care what pressure you give...
The slightest fluctions are normal, it could be a variety of things turning on or off in your car which increase the load on the engine. If you have heated seats on, that will cause a fluctuation in RPMs because you are adding a load...hence why fuel economy drops. More current draw = more load.

as always, if you are generally worried take it to the dealer and ask them to read the ECU.
If you start to notice a hesitation during acceleration, then you definitely know that you have a problem.
For peace of mind, cruise into the dealership.

oh well hell yeah, my acceleration hesitates at low rpms anywhere between 1200 and 2000, audi told me that my clutch was just worn a bit, i was like bullshit.
could be the camlobe issue that's in all these threads
