I've already had my flywheel resurfaced once for my last clutch job, but now that my clutch exploded... i need to do it again. I checked it out and it looks and feels in great shape. So, is it ok to resurface it more than once or should i not even worry about it. I know it's "Recommended" that you resurface it every time/get a new one, but i'm trying to be cheap.

I disagree those things chatter your teeth out. First question is how many miles are on it since resurfaced. If not many and not many hot spots should be good to go.

You need a sprung clutch with a lwfw... If you get the unsprung, that is when you will get the chatter...

well, i had the clutch done maybe 1 year ago if that. Since then i've put ~8000 miles on the car.

If twice is one too many i saw this on ebay.

I know you get what you pay for, but it sure does sound good.

Umm correction...LUK is what the E39 M5 uses factory...those dual mass flywheels are high quality and that is a steal to buy...U GET A WHOLE LOT MORE THEN WHAT U PAY FOR...I payed 600 for one for my M5 from the same company that ur looking at right now..and its OEM.

I had my stock one resurfaced 3 times before it couldn't be done again. But it really depends on how much they take off each time.

Yeah the guy doing the resurface should be able to tell you whether its suitable for resurfacing.

well the place i went to last time charges $135 and is about an hour and a half away.

I dunno... i think i might as well get a new one and then just mount the old DMFW on my car wall.
