hey everyone i always here people talking about there cars or other cars being stage 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on....but i never know exactly what this means


so i was wonderin what stage these stages mean and what your car needs to have to be considered in these stages

this basically means you havent checked any of the stickies on the top of the forums. Theres one for every section b5,b6,b7 a4 s4 etc..

there are stickies for every forum but not all explain stages at least that i could find do you have a specific link or forum that explains this? my searches yeilded few results

USUALLY with vag its
stg1 = software and maybe exhaust
stg2 = stg2 software + downpipe/exhaust and maybe intercooler
stg3 = upgraded turbo, fueling and ecu for bigger turbo

every after market manufacturer has their own specific definitions though
