How much are you willing to pay for tint?

Hello friends and enthusiasts!

I know someone in the tint business, Solar Control located in Irvine/Lake Forest ~ average price for tint from the company is $200 for any % on 4 doors (which is what i paid at another company in HB about 4 years ago) ~ it includes lifetime warranty

For $200 you can go to almost anyone and get a great job done, but I want to be able to to direct everyone to John at that company, and pricing seems to be the deal maker for premium jobs.

With that said, what kind of pricing will make you pick this company over the other guys?

I don't know about down there, but you can't get a 4 door car up here done for under $250. I paid $320 for mine IIRC, and that was after getting a discount from $360.

i paid $230 for mine - life time warranty, they did a great job, and they come to your house.
and he did this thing were you can roll your windows down right away. had it for about a year, and im happy.

A good friend of mine owns a tint shop, so the price i paid is too low to tell anyone... Hes charged my friends anywhere between $120-160, and thats a hookup rate... IIRC, he charged a regular customer around $175... Its about $35 per window and $50 for rear window is the usual rate

Tint Master City in Canoga Park (SFV), do great work-wont take my car anywhere else. They took off my shity tint and put on Llumar for $180 on every window with lifetime warrenty. If they didnt have to take off the crappy purple/bubbling tint from the previous owner, it would have been $140.

my bro had his GTI tinted for $100 and so did my other friends... their tints are going on 2-3 years and still very good the company is called PROMAX in alhambra (i think).. im just not sure if they have lifetime warranty or not

I paid $185 to get my Avant done by Sunshield in Van Nuys.[up][up]
I've been going to him for like fifteen years now. High quality work.
Gives something like a 10 year guarantee. I've never had a problem.
He's done about 6 cars for me. I've referred a bunch of folks to him, and everyone has been thrilled with the service.

We use Diamond Tint (http://diamondtint.com) and they charge between 200 and 400, depending on the vehicle.

Got mine done there as well, but went for 50%...it's deceptively dark/light...at least that's what I tell myself!

I just didn't want to go through any hassles with the police. Hopefully I never will.

my shoulder/upper arm area has some serious sensitivity issue with direct sunlight after an injury and I can have my dermatologist write me an official medical condition note to present it to police if I ever get pulled over.
had my girl friend's white A4 done with 50% in the front and 40% the rest....looks pretty good.
if I didn't have such skin condition, I would've had mine done with 50% front and 40% the rest. [;)]
