Won't happen until these cars become more common. How it is with any new model rollout. Big hype after being announced, then a lull until a good number of enthusiasts start buying and modding them.

Just picked it up. BlaCK/mAGMA, B&O. I had 2 911's, 2 A4's and a 1997 355GTB. The S5 is the nicest of them all!!!!!!

congratulations! It is quite car. I am in a motel room somewhere in Oklahoma on a 3000 mile round trip to New Mexico and back making 650 miles today. Absolutely the best driving and most comfortable Audi I have ever driven (I have had a bunch of them over the years) On Kansas turnpike it just begs to be let loose. I'll update later.

What kind of MPG are you getting on the open road?

Ran on average at 80+mph all day (son was following in Jetta TDI so had to behave a bit) modest headwind all day, flat road for the most part, good road surface. Averaging 20-21 mpg so far but am keeping track for the whole trip (2500+ round trip)

YOU gotta show us your garage and your new S5. The more ppl put up their S5's pictures, the more people will be convinced and upgrade/purchase S5 and you will have more ppl to discuss mods with.[drive][drive]

Well, considering they just announced the price of the e92m (aka 2008 m3) at 57k for the coupe and 54k for the sedan, the s5 seems hardly the better buy. Even the IS-F is priced too high compared to the e92m at 56k.

you're joking right? You realize that typical for BMW the base price is a barren car from a option standpoint. Equip it like my S5 and it will be at $70k so at least $10k higher than the S5--and that price will put it closer to the RS5 if and when it comes out. Even then its interior will be average at best but obviously it will still be a great car. Just be sure to compare apples to apples.

will do soon--down in New Mexico now so will be a week or so before back at home. An absolute driving/touring delight. Best Audi I have ever owned in 20+ years.
