hey guys, i did a search and i'm not really coming up with any hits for a FMIC for the 2.0T. any hits you guys found? also my goals for Hp is to match s4 digits, (320HP) so would the apr k04 kit work for me or is there a better kit to reach this? i really need your help because i want to have parts ready to install when i get eth car. thanks peeps.

Your getting an A3?! With that there are a lot of ways to hit 320hp. APR has their BT kits out for it, eurocode carrys a few bt kits for it. Its the same engine in the GTI so if they can do it so can u (for the most part). For the A3 APR makes an intercooler for it, and I think eurocode might have one. Hope this helps.

There are plenty of intercooler options available.
As already mentioned for the A3.
If you are getting a B7 A4 then you have to my knowledge 3 options currently for FMIC, Forge may also have one but I couldn't find it:

As far as getting 320Hp. I have KO4 and love it but I know many people are waiting for more options. Stasis has also released a KO4 based kit you can check out. A.W.E also has something coming I think. All these kits should be able to achieve 320HP. One of the local Audiziner's was trying to get 300WHP with a KO4 last update he was at about 270-290WHP

sorry 4 the confusion. the sig says this and that about an a3 but im actually getting the quattro a4. i need to work on that. anyway, i know with a stock turbo the FMIC prob wont do much but i also know that i got plenty of HP coming later down teh road and a FMIC paid for now will just be something i dont have to worry about later. as soon as i made this thread i saw a place that sells a greddy FMIC. greddy is a very respected company and im sure they did the homework. id trust them with cooling duties but i just want to check around first before i commit. i guess my only other question is, would teh k04 upgrade be able to reach teh 320 im planning for? the TQ is great and teh 298 is close to what i want but i dont want it to run out of steam just shy of my goal. thanks again for the replies.

I would go with the AWE intercooler but thats me, its a bit more but a lot bigger. 320 at the crank or the wheels? At the wheels you would be pushing the k04 to its limits, crank is more acheivable. I'll dig up Infernos dyno numbers and let you know what he was at with the k04 and other mods.

thanx viper. if the s4 is rated 320 at the crank then thats what i want as well. i have a vision of a car that rivals an s4 but has teh sex appeal of the rs4 all teh while being the standard modded up a4. for power, matching the hp rating of the s4 will definately be a great start. from there its a dtm body kit to resemble the s4 but add a touch of rs4 with replica rims. the interior i want to be a cross breed of teh s4 and rs4. im dubbing her r4. works for me cause my last names roman so its perfectly suited.

I have the A.W.E on order aswell. Greddy has a well known name but their intercooler seems very basic. (Tube and fin) A.W.E have plenty of research and development as well as dyno's and logs to back their intercooler that why I'm buying it.
Like I already said 320 Crank Hp is achievable with KO4. The APR kit is without fuel pump. They claim with their fuel pump you get extra 25hp so you are at 323hp.

looks like a k04 will be in my future then. i have been studying my ass to make sure i make TSgt so i can make the extra loot for teh r4. i'll be pissed if i dont make it this year. i'm relying heavily on that pay jump to help fund the a4 into the r4 that i see her becoming.

might be worth waiting another few months with the KO4 to just wait and see what the other companies bring out. Stasis looks interesting with the variable vane KO4. And A.W.E must be ready soon.

Oh one more thing. If you dont mind waiting on the k04, Stasis is going to come out with a k04 kit for a little more but; it will come with a 1yr/15000mi warrenty. So if there is a stasis dealer near you another option.

I'm in Australia and I just finnished work its 5.30pm in the afternoon. Today was my first day back after break aswell. I'm glad it's over now I can look forward to the weekend.
