Hi all, I'm getting back into the car game and finally buying a new (for me) car.

I am in the process of looking for an 06 A4 2.0TQ manual and really want one with sport suspension already installed. But I am having a hard time finding this combination, and if I do, they are like $3 - 4,000 more than a car without sport suspension. Not saying that the sport suspension is the reason why its so much, just harder finding one in my price range. I have a few questions and appreciate your help.

I see that a lot of people sell their stock sport suspension, so I may just buy a used set.

How is tire wear with this stock sport suspension? Are A4's able to have their camber changed during alignment to compensate for the lowering? Cause if not, doesn't that mean all cars that came with sport suspensions have tire wear issues?

Also, when I look for a used set, what exactly should be come with the set; springs, shocks/struts, bumpstops, anything else?

Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it.

PS, I have searched.

I have the sport suspension and I really like it. I am one of the few on this site who will probably never be getting a different suspension system. I have not notice any particular abnormal wearing of the tires.

You're not the only one....I'm with you, mainly because I don't want to have clearance issues with snow in the winter. I'm right at about 10k miles on the OEM sport suspension & everything seems fine with regard to tire wear.

i would just get some sport suspension instead of the OEM sport, but that's just .02

I changed my sport suspension at 11K miles, normal tire wear, hardly any. I sold my sport susp with shocks, bump stops, springs, clamps, etc. for $300.00

I have an '06 with sport suspension. For someone who's track experienced they will seem way too soft. But for people that just want to get some more feel out without lowering on aftermarket springs then they are fine. Actually sport suspension vs non-sport is almost a night-and-day difference.

As for camber wear, I can't tell you much. The factory alignment settings are -1 degrees of camber for both front and rear. In normal circumstances it's supposed to wear-out the center/inside tread of the tire first. But with my driving habits I'm the only person that I know of who has completely "balded" the outside tread of the tire with plenty of tread left on the inside of the tire. So with my experience I can't help you there. But if you're not a super aggressive corner-tackler like I am, then softer-compound summer tires like the Conti2Sports should last you at least 25k-30k miles.
