Hey,
I recently brought my car in for service on my brakes. The guy told me to I had 4mm left on my brake pad. He recommended that I change both my rotors and front pads. I told him to to do so. I came back and I looked at the receipt. It says 2 quantity for rotors and 1 quantity for brake lining. Does the 1 quanity brake lining mean two pads or does it just mean they replaced 1 break pad only. I looked at the rotors and they replaced both but I cant see if they replaced both pads. It wouldnt make sense if they replaced two rotors and just one pad. thx for the help!

1 quanity brake lining means that they replaced all 4 brake pads on the front

Is the break pad included within the schedule maintenance?

I doubt it, its a wear and tear item so its probobly not going to be covered. If i remember correctly you get a one time brake replacement when you are under 10k...

Just curious, how much did the break job cost you?

should have costed between 200 and 250 if i remember correctly how much they wanted to charge me

I don't think 4mm is bad... i would have kept going [:D]

the service "consultant" told me it could be a safety issue driving them the way it was

I thought the brake job was included...
Well, my light didn't come up yet but I can already see a lip on the front rotors. With 33k and running on 19" looks like it is about the time for me.

I think it's a fair job. So what's your concern?
