I was getting intermittent throttle body codes, so I took it off and cleaned it. When I put it back on, the car would no longer start. I assumed that the throttle body died, and got a replacement one here on audizine. However, when I put the newer one on, it still won't start up. Every time I tried to do a TBA, it would give me an error. I'm pretty sure the reason for that is that when I try to erase the DTCs, they just automatically come back. I tried disconnecting my ecu for five minutes then reconnecting it, but that didn't change anything. If I tried starting a few times and gave it some gas, it would start, but not respond to the throttle pedal. Also, when I tried to see if I was getting any throttle response from block 54 with my VAG, it would see the throttle pedal being pushed, but the the throttle angle was always 0%. Here are the codes that I get:

VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N

Control Module Part Number: 4B0 906 018 M
Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT G 0002
Software Coding: 16201
Work Shop Code: WSC 00088
3 Faults Found:
17951 - Angle Sensor 1 for Throttle Actuator (G187): Signal too Small
P1543 - 35-00 - -
17580 - Angle Sensor 2 for Throttle Actuator (G188) Signal too Low
P1172 - 35-00 - -
17987 - Throttle Actuator (J338): Adaptation Not Started
P1579 - 35-00 - -

Any ideas? I need my car :(

I bet as soon as you get rid of one code, many of those other code s with disapearz.

have you checked your available voltage at the throttle body?

if you have extra voltage drop in the B+ wire from the battery, your TB will act all kinds of stupid.

need to make sure you have a good circuit before you go throwing more parts at it.
