Just a simple question. I have aftermarket wheels with aftermarket lugs and can't remember which type the OEM wheels are which I'm getting today. The wheels I'm getting are A3 Premium package wheels.
Also are there specs on required thread length, etc.

All factory wheels use a ball seat.
28mm length bolt is standard for all Audi and VW wheels.

Are spacers needed with A3 wheels?

You don't NEED spacers, but I'd get some because A3's have a pretty high offset so the wheels will be set into the fenders pretty far and it won't look too good.

You'll probably need them. The wheels will more than likely rub the inside upright as they don't have the proper offset to fit the A4's.

Well according to the seller:
The wheels specs are 17x7.5 with a 45mm offset and 5x112 bolt
pattern.
I think that's the same as the OEM 17 wheels. The only difference is the tire width is 225 instead of 235.
According to the FAQ:
OEM 17" Split Spoke 5 Spoke Wheels
Diameter: 17"
Width: 7.5"
Offset: 45mm
I don't think that should present any fitment problems right?
