View Full Version : Chunky scary noise in my A4

So I am driving to work today, on the highway, and I hear a faint noise in my car. I kill the stereo, and it goes away. As I get off the offramp, I hear it again, louder and more clear. At speed, it sounds like a vibration, at lower speeds it counds like a clunking noise. It seems to be at my rear right tire. The noise only happens when not under power - If I am under power it immediately stops. If I put it in neutral and coast, I get the same noise. Once the car stops, the noise ceases. I'm hoping this is a wheel bearing, driveshaft, or something not too expensive and difficult to repair, as I am moving cross-country in about 10 days and I'd really like to bring this car with me. Any help would be appreciated, I might drop by the dealership two blocks down, I know the GM so hopefully he can help diagnose it if nobody here knows. Thanks in advance.
