My oil temp will barely inch over the 60 mark, its usually around 0 to -8 here, should i be usually a different type of oil in the winter then i do in the summer?

i run 0w40 all year round

Lubro Molly 5w40 all year round, no problems what so ever

i'm using castrol magnatec on my b5 5w40 or 10w40 can't remember but i don't have any problems with the temperatures around 0 - 5°C

yeah once the car is running the oil temp should be the same no matter what weight you use

It was below 20f a few mornings now and mine fires right up. Actually runs smoother and quieter than in the summer. 5w40 Mobil 1.

what would cause my oil temp to be so low, since winter came iv barely seen it 3 notches past 60. the water temps perfect alittle before 90

faulty oil temp sensor

I run 5w40 in the summer and 0w40 in the winter. no problems
