Anyone know the approx. size of the hole for the lower grills on the RS4 (reiger) bumper? I want to get one down the road and put some lights behind the lower side grills...

how big are the lights you're thinking about?? i promise you any aftermarket fog lights will fit in there.

I wonder how big round fogs like the stock WRX fogs would look hidden behind the mesh....

they're 5" diameter and about 2" deep...I'm looking at the PIAA 540 series xtreme white driving lamps

are you kidding? you going for the rally look on an audi... *shame*

No im not kidding...its because I said WRX that you got all excited..anyways quattro had a lot of heritage in rally itself. During the 80s AUDI AND quattro dominated the rally scene. Coming from a design standpoint, to fill those side vents might offer good balance considering the RS4 front is rather large and open.

i'm not sure about the look, might look good, but it would certainly be useful and in no way a useless mod. and he's right, u jest about the "rally look" but Audi's more old school rally than Subaru will ever be. if anything, this would remind me of the EvoIII bumpers that we see made for Civics and shit, but i don't think it would look like that. might be good, might not, but it can't hurt to give it a shot. liek i said, it would be very useful, light up the road like a ****** lighthouse

Well if you own a turbo car putting foglights as large as the WRX would defeat the purpose of your intercooler getting air.

but if you had a 2.8.... who cares.. fill it up all the way.

well, the idea was to put it behind the grills so I'd have the light, but not the look...

he does have a point about air flow. u need at least the right front grill to be mostly clear in a 1.8

true...well there goes that idea...the only other place I could think to put them is behind the middle grill, if I moved that coolant thing up a bit...
