Mods,

I read the other thread regarding the "rules" and it doesn't really clarify the things that are on my mind. I know that I am tired of reading multiple posts that are unclear and incomplete. I think it would be a great idea to set forth a system of rules to keep the few incompetent posters from clogging up the forums with their junk. Just a few ideas...

1.) Post a freaking price! Of course we all want to get the highest price for the items we are selling but if you want $800 for a headlight then post it for sale for $800, not "make me some offers!" This is not eBay.

2.) Post a description. "FS: USP wheels with tires.. make offer!" That doesn't cut it. Post as much information about the product as you can. Size, color, number, bolt pattern, compatibility with different models, any defections or inconsistencies, every thing you can think of.

3.) Post contact information. If you don't login to Audizine at least every few days to check your PM's then include an email address, phone number, pony express mail route, or anything that will assist a potential buyer.

4.) Tie up any loose ends like where the item is located, whether or not you're willing to ship, what payment you prefer (paypal, money order, etc), and whatever else you can think of.

It sounds like a pain. But its really easy to fill out a coherent for sale post, let's analyze.

WRONG
hey guise, ive got a set of audi 17" wheels, they got some tires on em but theyre kinda shot. shoot me some offers!

RIGHT
Hey fellas,

I've got a set of (4) 17" 5-spoke silver wheels from my 05 A4 I'm selling. BP is 5x112. They have a set of 245/75-17 Bridgestone tires that have about 20% tread left on them so I would reccomend new rubber. 2 of the wheels have a few scratches that could be buffed out and the other 2 are perfect. I am located in Greensboro NC and would prefer local pickup but can ship for about $25/wheel. PM me or email me at [email protected]. Price is $450 plus shipping. Thanks for looking!

First post would have taken about 20 seconds. Second post would have taken about 2 minutes. I think your looking like a sensible person is worth the extra minute and 40 seconds. So when you sell something, be smart about it, follow these guidlines. Sorry if this thread seems like some punk bitch complaining but I think it would really benefit everyone.

one more thing that is clogging up is the fact that people post somethig for sale and no pictures, lots of people requesting pics !! i thinks that they should post an item until they have there pictures together , just my opinion !!

This will all be moot in a few weeks when we launch the all-new Classifieds, separate for the Forums.

If I have time I'll update the Rules & Guidelines for the Classified Forums, but again the entire setup will be changing for the better here very soon. People who are serious about selling their parts will definitely be encouraged to include pics in their ads.
