no you are dbw and the 99.5 is dbc. all in all your car has different hardware and software than a 99.5

i am the same year as the person who i bought it from...i'm 99 quattro automatic aeb ndbw and he is 99.5 quattro automatic aeb ndbw

you should be good. I went through this about a month ago. Best way to find out....switch 'em.....see if the car fires up. Take it for a little spin to make sure no CEL's come up and if it's good, you should be fine. I'm a P and I put in an N no problem. I was told as long as the Bosch # matches, you should be good. Still only 1 way to find out though! :)

I still am confused since the 99.5 ecu is different, mine ends in P kyle, I think yours is from a 99.5 automatic.

the etka says ECU #8D0 907 559 C is for AEB automatic only

and there are 2 other ones

These are both for AEB by Motronic

8D0 907 557 (doesnt end in a P)

8D0 907 557P
