Anyone have any how to's on removing the inner tie rod boot/ tie rod??

Im at a hault on rebuilding the car...

The tie rod has to be separated into the inner and outer halves. Measure the location of the big hex nut to make assembly easier.

The boot should just pull off unless there is a good zip tie or something holding it in place. cut the back of the boot or slice down the top to cut through whatever is holding it in place. The new boot may be a bit small and have a hard time fitting over the end of the steering rack. I heated mine with a heat gun and stretched it over paint cans and whatever I could find that was the right size. Then it fit well and was secured with a heavy duty zip tie.
