ummmm so it snowed alot *10inches* and i was going to work and could not turn off the ESP at all....
i got the new *UPDATED* flash from audi?? does it restrict the esp button?
What do you mean you can't turn off esp? When you hit the button does the light come on? Light on solid = off. With esp on, if it starts to flash that means it's activating.

You're pushing the button too quickly. I found that if you press it really quickly it will go off then on again. Press and hold it for a second and it should go off.

Yes do this. I turn mine off in certain areas within my normal commute where I really have to "punch it" turning into traffic (so I'm at a stop, car is on). It activated a few times due to the the slope and uneven road. Hell you can turn it off while you are driving. Let us know how it turns out.

I think ESP remains on when the car is using the brake wiping feature. It's probably due to all the snow on the ground.

^what?
our brakes sense water on the rotors and the calipers constantly touch the rotors lightly to get rid of the water

Aren't the calipers touching the rotors by default?

the calipers briefly and periodically apply minimal pressure (attempting to be unnoticed) which wipes the rotors in order to maintain a dry surface and optimize stopping distance in rainy/unideal conditions.

ok well that isnt my issue hah
So with the vehicle running and you hit the ESP button. Does the light come on? If it's on, that means the system is disabled.

^No, havent you seen some of the post over the last few months. Maybe Audi has started charging for them. Also, this isn't in reference to this post, because I don't have the update yet and I don't know if this is a real problem, but it sounds like it is.
