Blacking Out Grill

Hey,

Has anyone ever blacked out their own grill? and if so how do you guys do it? If you have pictures please post.

ya i have. just a b5 rs4 grill. sand lightly, primer 3-4 coats, black spray 3-4 coats, clear 4-5 coats and its good.

I dunno about this method, but i have blacked out both my grilles on my b6 with Plasti-dip and they havent chipped, or peeled away or anything and they have been thru all kinds of weather...

I'm doing this mod this week, I already ordered my can of plasti-dip from amazon. Maybe I will post pics, but most likely I won't. Too lazy...

I was thinking of painting my valence, but since I'm going to be getting the creative exhaust i will need the s4 valence. I think I'll wait and paint that one. That way I wont have to buy more paint.

I want Black rings really bad, but I don't trust myself to paint them, as I don't have much ability in the DIY dept.

Is there any vendor that sells painted rings? Or is there someone willing to do it for me for a reasonable charge?

No, I have the S-Line Package. Comes that way. I'm thinking about getting another one to paint black. I've got an extra set of mirror caps that I need to get around to painting. Starting a new job on Tuesday, so my time is going to be limited, but it's at an automotive shop, so I might be able to get the body dept. to shoot them for free;-)

I also want to do the clear corner mod, and paint the headlight housings black.

If you're in Burbank, we should hook up sometime.
