Might put some 17x7 wheels with an offset of ET40 on the car.
Will a 20mm spacer clear the brakes?

Ok according to this: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
compared to the OEM 17.5" by 45mm offset, I need 11mm more? so a 15mm spacer all around should work?

Take a picture of the backside of the wheel including spokes, and I can tell you if the wheels can even fit on your car. The B7A4 has enormous front brakes that cause all sorts of problems with aftermarket wheels.
Now that you've bought wheels that don't fit right, a 20mm spacer is a mickey mouse solution because it adds excessive weight and you'll likely have vibration issues. I'm not saying that you WILL have problems, but a spacer that size is likely to cause issues. Wake up and smell the coffee :)

It looks like I'll just be selling these wheels. I actually didn't purchase them, it came with the car... if you want a good laugh, when I got new brakes done, they would no longer clear the wheels!
