I just moved into Ohio and am looking at getting started with modding my 2000 S4. Does anyone know of any good shops to work with? Thanks for the help.

Whoa... someone lives in Akron???

You should come to some of the local meets mang.

Best shop locally is ECS because it's really the only one...

Other than that, I'm gladly willing to give you a hand w/ any installs or provide you w/ any parts, I sell them, that you may need and I carry...

Where in Akron and how old are you btw?

PS. another good place to register and start posting is www.ohiovw.com and in the NE section.

I live in Tallmadge and am 28. Working for the big company in Akron. I'm not sure I trust myself with modding just yet. Where in the area are you?

I live in medina on 18 and ECS is the best. Also Fred Baker Audi in Bedford will do stuff for you as well. With no hassle. I would go to ecs. Ecstuning.com

ECS, Fred Baker, and Streetsboro Foreign Auto(they work strictly on VW's and Audi's.) They've been open for 30 some years and did a nice job on my suspension. A little slow but cheaper than the dealership. I would use them for maintenance issues.

I'm in Streetsboro. Welcome to NE Ohio.

Thanks for the information and for the welcome. I'll check those places out and will probably be to one pretty soon considering I have some maintenance coming up.

Hi and welcome to the area! [:D]

ECS is really close by and has done a lot of work on the B5 S4. They've been in business for regular maintenance work for 40 years (3rd generation family owned and operated). Their performance tuning is pretty good too.

We've usually have a monthly GTG, but it was suspended for August due to lots of conflicting schedules (vacation, events, etc.). We'll have another one the 3rd Saturday in September (the 18th). A big number of people are Dub owners, but there's about 6 or so Audi owners as well.

I'm over in Stow and usually try to get the monthly GTGs going. [;)]

Check out the local sites:

There's a big spring GTG that will take place at the end of April at the Mentor Headlands Beach. There's also some activity over on Facebook too.

I go to H&S in Lakewood. I live in Hudson and H&S is worth the drive. Used to go to ESC but they went through some growing pains one year so I switched. Before they were too big they did have one bad ass B5 S4, I will give them that.
Good luck, hope to meet up.

Hi guys... I'm in North Canton as well... Just got my A4 a few weeks ago.. Lots of projects I wanna do and some I need to do.. Lookin to help others and get some help myself.. Definitely looking to get involved with some fellow enthusiasts... I've always owned and been into German cars.. Now I'm just looking to step my game up a bit...

Well.. It seems like I'll be selling my "Sixer".. Lots of ugrades, about $7k just in parts.. If you guys hear anyone, or know of anyone, let me know...

As far as shops go, I've done all my work in N Canton at George's Foreign Car Service, it's a good shop, but not 100% satisfied with them, would not recomend them actually.

I'm sure there are other local independent shops that specialize in euro cars, but these 3 are tied in with major tuning products and offer excellent service/maintenance.

We still do APR chip tuning. Unfortunately you can just walk in and get it done, we do ask that you at least give us a call and schedule an appointment a head of time.

If anyone has any questions feel free to shoot me a PM!
